Lee County VA Healthcare Center to receive technology upgrade, 96 custom tablets for veteran, family use

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Bay Pines VA Healthcare System and the Armed Forces Families Foundation are scheduled to implement a technology upgrade at the Lee County VA Healthcare Center to assist with the development of the Patient Ambassador’s Program.

As part of the technology upgrade, veterans and dependents visiting the VA outpatient center in Lee County will soon have access to 96 custom computer tablets, which will provide user-friendly access to My Health e-Vet, floor maps of the facility, updated benefit information from the healthcare center and entertainment for the patient and their dependents while the patient is waiting for their appointment.

The Armed Forces Families Foundation has committed to providing $50,932 to ensure the implementation of the technology upgrade and to purchase the tablets.

The Lee County VA Healthcare Center is located at 2489 Diplomat Parkway East in Cape Coral, Florida.
