AFFF & Taco Bell participates in 2012 Jacksonville Sea & Sky Spectacular - More Info >> - View (PDF) >>
The Armed Forces Families Foundation & Taco Bell participated in the 2012 Jacksonville Sea & Sky Spectacular on October 20th & 21st, driving awareness for the Foundation & appreciation for our Taco Bell customers that support our military personnel. The event drew as many as 100,000 spectators to Jacksonville Beach over the weekend, and featured the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, U.S. Special Operations Command Parachute Team, civilian aerobatic pilots, a street festival with displays of aircraft and military vehicles. Taco Bell and the AFFF were honored to have participated in the event, selling tacos & burritos to hungry attendees and painting faces to benefit the Foundation! |

The Armed Forces Families Foundation donated $5,000 to sponsor the South Florida Army Birthday Ball, which was held on June 9th, 2012 in Hollywood, Florida to celebrate the U.S. Army’s 237th birthday. The donation was used to defray ticket costs for our Soldiers and their guests, and to allow more junior enlisted Soldiers to attend. |

In partnership with the Armed Forces Families Foundation and Taco Bell, the ArenaBowl XXIV Jacksonville Sharks will held Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, May 19, 2012 as the Sharks defeated the Iowa Barnstormers, 55 to 19. All proceeds from the events surrounding the game, which included a pre-game autograph session, post-game auction, and the sale of T-shirts, totaled over $30,000 and were donated to the Armed Forces Families Foundation.

Navy / Marine Corps Relief Society donation of $42,800 - More Info >>
In conjunction with the Navy / Marine Corps Relief Society, the Armed Forces Families Foundation donated $42,800 to fund gift cards to Wal-Mart, Target & Publix to provide to the families of our military personnel in advance of the holiday season. The Navy / Marine Corps Relief Society purchased and distributed $250 gift cards to over 170 military families in need located in thirteen different markets throughout the Southeast, where the monies were raised. |
