Jacksonville, FL – February 15, 2015

The Armed Forces Families Foundation funded the installation of an “Energi System” Outdoor Youth Exercise 12‐Piece Equipment Center and a “GardenScape” Gardening Equipment Center at the Youth Activities Center of Naval Air Station Jacksonville. The “Energi System” includes seven exercise stations with the ability to offer 84 different exercises for up to 28 children at one time, up to the age of 14. The “GardenScape” Equipment is designed to create learning spaces surrounded by plants and vegetables that the students have planted. It creates a great learning environment and gives the children opportunities to build social skills and work together.  The budget for this project was $30,000 and was completed in February 2015.
