USO Mayport Naval Station

Jacksonville, FL – April 22, 2010

In May 2010 the Armed Forces Families Foundation upgraded and remodeled both the Family Communication Center and the Children’s Development Room at the USO family center at NAS Mayport in Jacksonville, FL. The family center now has 12 computers with internet access and web cameras that allow families to video chat with deployed service members and family members in their home towns. The children’s development room now has upgraded carpeting, a wall-mounted TV, new learning centers, games, books and toys. The project cost just over $30,000.

This USO center supports families from both NS Mayport and Sector Jacksonville Coast Guard Station.
