Moody AFB Family Housing Game Room

Tallahassee, FL – February 15, 2014

The Armed Forces Families Foundation donated over $39,000 to the Moody Air Force Base for the new Family Housing Game Room. The added infrastructure for the game room consisted of a pool/air hockey table, Xbox and PlayStation video game consoles with a variety of games, televisions and an arcade game, as well as a complete overhaul of the facility, including painting, ceiling construction, drywall, flooring, electrical wiring and a new HVAC system.

Moody Air Force Base is home to the 23d Wing and the 93d Air Ground Operations Wing and employs approximately 5,500 individuals annually. The construction of the new game room allows the residents of Family Housing at Moody AFB an opportunity to enjoy a new community center near base, and their children the ability to enjoy activities close to home.  This project was completed in February 2014.
