AFFF provides $26,287 to upgrade USO at NAS Pensacola

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Armed Forces Families Foundation contributed $26,287 to fund a technology upgrade at the USO center at Naval Air Station Pensacola in August.

The funds were used to provide a significant technology upgrade, which included the purchase of televisions, wall mounts, rolling and reclining chairs, shelving for gaming systems, new Xbox ones and Sony Play Station 4s.

Additionally, the funds also helped to supply new Wi-Fi access points and fresh paint for the rooms at the USO center.

The USO has more than 250 locations that support military members and their families worldwide and provides programs, entertainment and services.

USO centers provide a warm and comforting place where service members can connect to loved ones via Internet or phone, play a video game, catch a movie, have a snack or just put their feet up and relax.

Many of the USO’s centers across the southeast U.S. have received funding from the Armed Forces Families Foundation.
