AFFF donated $20,964.25 to Freedom Park School to fund STEAM lab

FORT GORDON, Ga. – The Armed Forces Families Foundation donated $20,965.25 to help fund updates to the science technology engineering and math lab at Freedom Park School at Fort Gordon in Georgia in July, 2017.

The STEAM lab improvements included providing furniture and equipment to help support the lab, which allows students to participate in cardboard construction, prototyping, robotics, digital fabrications, textiles and other projects.

The upgrades also helped the school to be considered for the International Baccalaureate World School Middle Years Program, which allows students to learn and make inquiry and analysis, develop solutions, and create and evaluate models, prototypes, products and systems.
