AFFF provides $11,328 to update park at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Armed Forces Families Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, which provides funds to support permanent and semi-permanent infrastructure projects, which help military families, provided $11,328 to update a park at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville.

The funds were used to update the park and expand its usage. In total, 12 picnic tables and eight park benches were replaced, the existing pavilions were sanded and painted, and new sand was provided and installed for the sand volleyball court.

The park provides a safe and fun outdoor space for military members retirees, government employees and family members who have access to Redstone Arsenal. More than 40,000 people work on Redstone Arsenal and 80,000 people have access to the park.
