AFFF Provides $83k to fund arcade at USO center on Eglin AFB

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla – The Armed Forces Families Foundation (AFFF) announced Friday they have provided funding for a new arcade gaming space located inside the United Service Organization (USO) at Eglin Air Force Base in the western Florida panhandle. The USO space at Eglin AFB was itself funded by AFFF.

Due to initial budgetary restrictions, the arcade space was never completed when the USO space was first built.

AFFF will alleviate those budgetary concerns with a donation of $83,276 to complete the arcade space, which will serve as an activity area for military members and their family and friends.

Some of the arcade style games AFFF is providing include an NBA Hoops basketball game, where players can physically shoot baskets, Pump It UP LX Dance game, Pac-Man upright arcade game, and the popular Big Buck Hunter Reloaded, among others.

Studies have shown that gaming has a positive impact on morale and mental health.
